General Manager of Integral Systems Service Solutions Group to Discuss the "Challenges of Managing Larger Networks" at the 2010 Annual Army Commercial SATCOM Users Workshop


COLUMBIA, Md., July 21, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Integral Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:ISYS) announced today that Ernie Dickens, Vice President and General Manager, Integral Systems Service Solutions (IS3) will take part in a panel discussion at the 2010 Annual Army Commercial SATCOM Users Workshop. The Satellite Industry Association (SIA) and the U.S. Army PM WIN-T will hold the event on Monday, August 2, 2010 at AFCEA's LandWarNet 2010 in Tampa, Florida. Dickens will discuss the fundamental challenges RF interference places on military networks and what can be done to mitigate interference issues to increase Quality of Service (QoS) and lower costs.

This full-day workshop, held on the pre-day of LandWarNet, aims to link the Army end-user community with the commercial satellite industry providing critical SATCOM requirements for the Army Warfighter. Department of Defense (DoD) and industry leaders will participate in interactive sessions focusing on space capacity, and service requirements for Army SATCOM users, as well as exploring emerging technologies and applications to address shifting on-the-ground requirements and changing budgetary and bandwidth realities for the Army's SATCOM usage.

ABOUT ERNIE DICKENS

Ernest L. (Ernie) Dickens, Jr. is Vice President and General Manager of the Integral Systems Service Solutions (IS3) group. Before assuming his current role, Mr. Dickens served as Vice President of Strategic Development for Integral Systems subsidiary, RT Logic from 2002 to 2009.

He has more than 30 years defense industry experience in both Military and Commercial Satellite Communications (SATCOM). Prior to joining Integral Systems, Mr. Dickens was Vice President and General Manager of the Integrated Communications Systems division of Stanford Telecom, a supplier of communications network management products, systems, and services to the US Government and commercial industry. Prior to joining Stanford Telecom in 1981, Mr. Dickens served eleven years with the US Army where he was assigned to The Defense Communications Agency (now DISA) supporting various MILSATCOM projects. In addition to extensive US military technical training, Mr. Dickens holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Hawaii Pacific University.
