College Survival: A Monumental Movement was held last month in the Washington D.C. area as a part of Cengage Learning's ongoing effort to provide faculty with professional development opportunities through its TeamUP Faculty Programs Group.
The conference focused on providing instructors with strategies that will effectively engage today's students, utilizing innovative new methods for curriculum design and course implementation. The instructors in attendance had the opportunity to learn from nationally recognized authors, colleagues and Cengage Learning TeamUP Faculty Program Consultants as they presented strategies for student success. In addition to the sessions, there were many opportunities for networking and socializing, including a guided tour of the U.S. Capitol building given by keynote speaker and former U.S. Rep. Ed Bethune of Arkansas.
