The Management Board of JSC Latvijas kuģniecība is extended New member - Paul Thomas, has been elected in the Management Board of joint stock company „Latvijas kuģniecība” for the five year term of duties. The previous experience of the new member of the Management Board is related with world shipping business since 1983, including the position of the director at “Finaval S.p.A.”, which is Italian registered tanker owner, since 1988, as well as duties of the member of the supervisory board of joint stock company „Ventspils nafta” from January , 2010 till July, 2010. The term of duties for the next five years has been prolonged also for other members of the Management Board. Therefore, the Management Board of LK now consists of four members - chairman Imants Sarmulis and members Andris Linužs, Raivis Veckāgans and Paul Thomas. JSC Latvijas kuģniecība is international shipping company with commercial fleet consisting of 23 tankers with the total deadweight exceeding 1 million tons. The tankers are mostly used to transport light and heavy oil products in the Baltic, Northern European, Black Sea, Mediterranean Sea, Transatlantic, Far East and Middle East markets. JSC Latvijas kuģniecība plays significant role in the world's shipping business, ranking among the twenty largest ship-owners of medium range tanker fleet in the world. The new member of the Management Board Paul Thomas does not own the shares of LK.
