(Nasdaq:FCEL) a leading manufacturer of high efficiency ultra-clean power plants using renewable and other fuels for commercial, industrial, government, and utility customers announced today that the underwriters of the Company's public offering of 24.0 million shares of common stock have closed on their over-allotment option to purchase an additional 3.6 million shares of FuelCell Energy common stock and have concluded the offering. The additional aggregate net proceeds to FuelCell Energy from the over-allotment option totaled approximately $4.2 million after deducting underwriting discounts, fees and expenses. FuelCell Energy intends to use the net proceeds from this offering for product development, project financing, expansion of manufacturing capacity, and general corporate purposes. Lazard Capital Markets LLC acted as the sole book-running manager and Canaccord Genuity Inc. was co-manager for the offering.
