RENK reporting much higher order intake

Already observable in the first quarter of 2010, the upturn in incoming
orders over the previous year was reconfirmed in Q2/2010 and emphasized by
a contract to supply the transmissions for the German PUMA infantry
fighting vehicle. H1/2010 order intake, in fact, surged year-on-year from
EUR 140 million to EUR 352 million.

With order backlog whittled down over the past two years, H1 revenue
receded by 22% from EUR 242 million to EUR 188 million and operating profit
(EBIT) fell from EUR 33 million to EUR 25 million. ROS at 13.3%, in
contrast, was maintained at the year-earlier level of 13.6%.

For all of 2010, RENK expects an order intake of around EUR 500 million to
a considerable degree composed of multiyear contracts and hence translating
into sales only after 2011.

Compared with 2009, this year's sales will shrink noticeably; earnings for
the period will be depressed by the lower sales and by risk provisions for
offshore wind turbine gear units.
