Friday, July 30, the Economics Minister Artis Kampars visited the joint stock company „VEF Radiotehnika RRR". During the visit, the Minister was told about the company's manufacturing capabilities. „VEF Radiotehnika RRR" Executive Chairman Eduards Maļejevs told about the future development plans as well as the difficulties with which the company is facing in the current economic situation. Radiotehnika products are still exported to many countries around the world, however, growing competition from Asian producers in hand makes the company more seriously think about the quality of products and price policy. As for the economic difficulties the Minister called for more active use of the opportunities provided by Latvian Guarantee Agency for export project support.
