(BIDU) will ring the NASDAQ opening bell remotely from Beijing, China on Thursday, August 5, 2010 from 9:15 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. (EDT) to celebrate Baidu's five year listing anniversary on NASDAQ. Mr. Li will be joined by Sandy Frucher, Vice Chairman, NASDAQ OMX Group and other distinguished guests at Baidu's headquarters in Beijing, China.
  The Opening Bell is a ceremonial event that represents NASDAQ's virtual market model. As a result, NASDAQ can be opened from any location bringing together investors and market participants from around the world to mark the opening of the trading day. 
  China is now the largest overseas market for The NASDAQ Stock Market, with a total of 148 listed companies, more than any other U.S. exchange. 
  This year there have been nine Chinese IPOs and 12 over-the-counter bulletin board (OTCBB) upgrades and four switches. Of the 148 Chinese companies listed on NASDAQ, 125 are from mainland China and 17 are from Hong Kong, with five from Taiwan and one from Macau.

  The ceremony will also be broadcast live on NASDAQ's seven-story high Tower in Times Square and in the NASDAQ MarketSite studio wall in Times Square. The bell will also be broadcast via satellite to national and international media.
