Stefan Klebert named as new CEO of Schuler AG
Juergen Tonn to retire
August 4, 2010. Stefan Klebert (45) is to be appointed new CEO of Schuler
AG, Goeppingen, on October 1, 2010. The present CEO, Juergen Tonn (62),
will retire on the same date, at his own request. He had announced his
retirement from Schuler for 2011 at the latest with the option of leaving
earlier if a suitable successor was found.
As a member of the Management Board of ThyssenKrupp Services AG, Stefan
Klebert was responsible for the 'Industrial Services' division from 2006,
with 30,000 employees and sales of EUR 2.1 billion. He left the company
when ThyssenKrupp sold the division in late 2009. The engineering graduate
Stefan Klebert (MBA) has held leading positions with several renowned
industrial companies (Festo, Schindler, ThyssenKrupp) and made a name for
himself as an excellent manager with extensive experience and success,
especially with regard to performance enhancement and industrial services.
Juergen Tonn has been CEO of Schuler AG since October 1, 2006. Major events
during his term of office include Schuler's successful takeover of Müller
Weingarten AG and an extensive restructuring program which enabled the
company to steer a safe course through the current economic crisis.
