Public utility and environmental business enterprise Ecoservice, member of City Service Group, has begun providing waste management services to Kazlų Rūda and Vilkaviškis District Municipalities (Marijampolė county, Lithuania). An agreement with the Marijampolė Regional Waste Management Centre was signed for a 5-year term. The value of the agreement is LTL 10.2 million. Ecoservice is actively participating in the tenders announced to select waste managers. In recent years, modern waste management systems have been actively implemented in different regions of the country, so conditions for business expansion are beneficial, Saulius Budrevičius, Ecoservice general manager, said. Since 2008, Ecoservice and its subsidiaries in Lithuania have won three waste management tenders announced by Širvintos, Varėna and Neringa Municipalities. Ecoservice operates according to an integrated quality and environmental protection management system complying with the international standards ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004.
