NEW YORK, Aug. 9, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Pomerantz, Haudek, Grossman & Gross LLP ("Pomerantz") has filed an action in the District Court for the Southern District of New York against Citibank, N.A. ("Citibank") (NYSE:C) alleging violations of federal and New York state labor laws concerning the payment of overtime compensation.

The complaint alleges that Citibank failed to pay overtime compensation to its Personal Bankers that worked in excess of forty hours per work week. The federal claims, alleged under the Fair Labor Standards Act, are brought nationwide on behalf of a Collective Class of all persons currently and formerly employed since August 6, 2007 by Citibank in the position of Personal Banker, at Citibank branches in the United States (the "Nationwide Class") to recover unpaid overtime pursuant to the FLSA. The New York Class claims are brought on behalf of all current and former Personal Bankers who were employed by Citibank at any time since August 6, 2004, at Citibank branches in the State of New York to recover unpaid overtime pursuant to NY State labor laws.
