Revolutions Medical Corporation Begins Clinical Applications and Validation Process of Its MRI Software Tools

CHARLESTON, S.C., Aug. 16, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Revolutions Medical Corporation ("Revolutions Medical" or the "Company") (OTCBB:RMCP), begins collaboration with H. Keith Brown, PhD, Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, on two clinical applications using their proprietary Magnetic Resonance software tools; RevDisplay, RevColor and Rev3D.  One clinical application is for the differentiation and characterization of Intracranial Hemorrhages by Color MRI Automatic Segmentation and the other is for characterization of intracranial masses by Color MRI Automatic Segmentation.

Led by Professor of Anatomy, H. Keith Brown, PhD, these studies will be the first of their kind to examine the use of RevMed's proprietary MRI software tools to enhance diagnostic confidence in the diagnosis of tumors, cysts, and other masses and to aid in distinguishing between older blood and new blood for concussions and other head injuries.

"To be working with the pioneer of color MRI, H. Keith Brown, PhD, on a project of this importance, means a great deal to all of us here at Revolutions Medical.  We will now begin the validation process for the use of our MRI software tools through these first of many clinical applications to be delivered through our software as a service (SAS) model.  We believe this process has the potential to add tremendous value to the company as we launch our tools into the marketplace," stated Ron Wheet, CEO, Revolutions Medical.
