WAVELAND, Miss., Aug. 16, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- On Tuesday, August 17, 2010, Bay Waveland Housing Authority, Flagship United Community Development Corporation (FUCDC), and Centerpointe Regional Housing Development, LLC. (Centerpointe) will host a ribbon cutting for the grand opening of the Oak Haven Apartments, an 80-unit rental housing development that will provide very low-income seniors with an affordable place to live.
The project received a $500,000 Affordable Housing Program (AHP) grant from Hancock Bank and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (FHLB Dallas). The approximately $15 million project also received $7 million in disaster recovery program funds through the Mississippi Development Authority and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
