About Martin Kaymer:

First, Martin Kaymer had to survive the deepest field of any major, at the 92nd PGA Championship. Then, he had to conquer the long, demanding, bunker-filled test of golf that is Whistling Straits, in Kohler, Wisconsin. And if that wasn't enough, the 25-year-old German had to endure a three-hole playoff with long-hitting, crowd favorite Bubba Watson. But survive, conquer and endure Kaymer did, beating Watson in that playoff and winning the 2010 PGA Championship, making him only the second German to win a major championship, after Bernhard Langer.

With his victory at Whistling Straits on Sunday, Kaymer, the #5 ranked golfer in the world and a member of the European Tour, played his way into the four-man field for the 2010 PGA Grand Slam of Golf, where he will join Phil Mickelson, Graeme McDowell and Louis Oosthuizen.  The event will take place at Port Royal Golf Course in Southampton, Bermuda, on Oct. 18-20.

Prior to the PGA Grand Slam of Golf, Kaymer will be one of 12 members of Team Europe who will bid to regain the famed Ryder Cup from the United States at The Celtic Manor Resort, in Newport, Wales, at the 2010 Ryder Cup Matches, from October 1-3.
