Release of a notification of Voting Rights pursuant to § 26 para. 1 WpHG

August 2010


JPMorgan Asset Management (UK) Limited, London, UK informed us pursuant to
section 21 sub-section 1 WpHG that on 18 August 2010 JPMorgan Asset
Management (UK) Limited has fallen below the threshold of 5% of the voting
rights of LANXESS AG, Chemiepark Leverkusen, Gebäude K 10, D - 51369
Leverkusen, Germany and as of this date amounts to 4.98% (4,146,609 shares)
in relation to all shares of the respective voting shares. Thereof, 2.88%
(2,395,675 voting rights) are attributed pursuant to section 22 sub-section
1 sentence 1 no. 6 WpHG. Further 2.10% (1,750,934 voting rights) are
attributed pursuant to section 22 para. 2 WpHG.

J.P.Morgan Investment Management Inc, New York, USA informed us pursuant to
section 21 sub-section 1 WpHG that on 18 August 2010 J.P.Morgan Investment
Management Inc has fallen below the threshold of 5% of the voting rights of
LANXESS AG, Chemiepark Leverkusen, Gebäude K 10, D - 51369 Leverkusen,
Germany and as of this date amounts to 4.98% (4,146,609 shares) in relation
to all shares of the respective voting shares. Thereof, 1.69% (1,407,976
voting rights) are attributed pursuant to section 22 sub-section 1 sentence
1 no. 6 WpHG. Further 3.29% (2,738,633 voting rights) are attributed
pursuant to section 22 para. 2 WpHG.

JPMorgan Asset Management (Taiwan) Limited, Taipei, Taiwan informed us
pursuant to section 21 sub-section 1 WpHG that on 18 August 2010 JPMorgan
Asset Management (Taiwan) Limited has fallen below the threshold of 5% of
the voting rights of LANXESS AG, Chemiepark Leverkusen, Gebäude K 10, D -
51369 Leverkusen, Germany and as of this date amounts to 4.98% (4,146,609
shares) in relation to all shares of the respective voting shares. Thereof,
0.06% (52,737 voting rights) are attributed pursuant to section 22
sub-section 1 sentence 1 no. 6 WpHG. Further 4.92% (4,093,872 voting
rights) are attributed pursuant to section 22 para. 2 WpHG.

JPMorgan Chase Bank, National Association, Columbus, USA informed us
pursuant to section 21 sub-section 1 WpHG that on 18 August 2010 JPMorgan
Chase Bank, National Association has fallen below the threshold of 5% of
the voting rights of LANXESS AG, Chemiepark Leverkusen, Gebäude K 10, D -
51369 Leverkusen, Germany and as of this date amounts to 4.98% (4,146,609
shares) in relation to all shares of the respective voting shares. Thereof,
0.349% (290,221 voting rights) are attributed pursuant to section 22
sub-section 1 sentence 1 no. 6 WpHG. Further 4.635% (3,856,388 voting
rights) are attributed pursuant to section 22 para. 2 WpHG.
