Phoenix Solar AG builds 2.2 megawatt solar park in Slovakia

Sulzemoos, 30 August 2010 / Phoenix Solar AG (ISIN DE000A0BVU93), a leading
photovoltaic system integrator listed on the German TecDAX, has signed an
agreement with green energy slovakia, s.r.o, a German-Slovakian investor
partnership, on the planning and implementation of a solar park with a peak
power of 2.2 megawatts. This will be Phoenix Solar AG's first project as
general contractor in Slovakia.

The Phoenix Solar team has already started with preparations for
construction. More than 29,000 solar modules from First Solar and inverters
from SMA will be used. The photovoltaic plant will be built at a distance
of around 80 kilometres from Bratislava on two neighbouring plots of
agricultural land and be connected to the grid before the end of this year.

Slovakia has attractive feed-in legislation which compensates one kilowatt
hour of solar electricity fed into the grid at a rate of 42.5 cents.
