Eignarhaldsfélagið Farice ehf. and its subsidiary, Farice hf., in cooperation with their largest creditors and shareholders, have been working on a financial restructuring of the companies. All parties to the standstill agreement in Eignarhaldsfélagið Farice ehf. have agreed an extension of that agreement until 1 October 2010. The major creditors of the subsidiary of Eignarhaldsfélagið Farice ehf., Farice hf., have not agreed an extension to a standstill agreement regarding Farice hf., however, they have stated that they do not intend to foreclose the company's loans as well as taking up discussions with the Icelandic state regarding the status of the companies.
