Sanford-Brown Collaborates With Pegasus Lectures Inc.

Test Preparation Provided to Students in the Curricula of Three Allied Health Programs

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill., Sept. 3, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Sanford-Brown is incorporating Pegasus products into the curriculum at more than 20 health schools across the country. This month Career Education Corporation is introducing its collaborative relationship with Pegasus Lectures Inc. to offer a unique approach to physics instruction, review and exam preparation at the Sanford-Brown locations that offer imaging programs.

In the imaging programs (Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Cardiovascular Sonography and Technology), there is a series of examinations that students need to take for employment. Throughout their education at Sanford-Brown, all students in these programs will be consistently assessed for knowledge retention and they will all go through the comprehensive registry review prior to graduation.

"We are committed to providing students with quality training that results in positive career outcomes," said George Grayeb, senior vice president of the Health Education Strategic Business Unit of Career Education Corporation, parent company of Sanford-Brown schools. "Our investment in test preparation is one more tool that we are providing our students to better equip them as they enter the workforce."

Students will have access to online seminars that offer streaming, customizable viewing formats, interactive questions, viewable playlists, review segments and note-taking features. In addition, Pegasus' ultrasound physics and exam preparatory review materials have been integrated into existing curricula.

As new Sanford-Brown campuses are opened, Pegasus products will be incorporated into their imaging programs.
