PEABODY, Mass., Sept. 8, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Analogic Corporation (Nasdaq:ALOG), a leading provider of medical imaging and aviation security technology, announced today that its specialized ultrasound business, BK Medical, has introduced the Flex Focus 700™, a mobile ultrasound system designed primarily for ultrasound guided surgical procedures in the operating room.

The Flex Focus 700 is an ultrasound system tailored to the specific needs of the surgical suite. Its size, mobility, power, and usability are all designed for the operating room, based on direct input from surgeons. The customizable system can be controlled using the large touch screen or the simple touch pad on the control panel. The system's
19-inch screen displays sharp laparoscopic, intraoperative, and percutaneous images, with detail that is visible from virtually any angle. The Flex Focus 700 is small, lightweight, and supports a wide range of sterilizable transducers.
