- Sales and earnings projections for the full year have been confirmed
(Halle/Westphalia, 9 September 2010) In August 2010, the GERRY WEBER Group
achieved the highest ever increase in like-for-like Retail sales in Germany
and abroad. The company boosted its Retail sales by roughly 26 percent,
compared to eight percent for the market as a whole. 'We leave our
competitors increasingly far behind,' the company's CEO commented on the
latest achievement. 'We have successfully modernised and streamlined our
collections, which now make an even more stylish statement. This is now
reflected in excellent sales figures.'
The high Retail sales once again confirm that the GERRY WEBER Group will
continue its growth. The company expects Group sales to increase to EUR 615
million - EUR 620 million (previous year: EUR 594.1 million) and the EBIT
margin to climb to 13 percent (previous year: 12 percent) in the current
fiscal year. 'We fully rely on the new, clear signature of our collections,
which extends across all three brands,' Gerhard Weber concluded. 'This
allows us to position ourselves even more effectively in the market and
makes us even more attractive to consumers. We are optimally positioned to
achieve double-digit growth rates in the coming years.'
The GERRY WEBER Group's results for the first nine months of 2009/2010 will
be published on 23 September.
