$120,000 Arizona Lottery Pick 5 Jackpot Claimed


PHOENIX, AZ--(Marketwire - September 16, 2010) - Antonio Rocha of Sedona has come forward to claim the $120,000 Pick 5 jackpot from the drawing Friday, September 3.

Rocha has been playing the same numbers for the last five years, which he selected according to meaningful dates in his life. He works as a maitre d' at a restaurant in Jerome and owns a small, working farm. Rocha has not made any definite plans to use his winnings, but is contemplating a cross-country trip.

"It is always exciting when someone comes through our doors to claim a winning ticket," said Jeff Hatch-Miller, executive director of the Arizona Lottery. "It was a great feeling to hand this winner such a large check, knowing that it will change his life."

The winning ticket was purchased from a Safeway store located at 2300 W. US HWY 89 A in Sedona.

Drawings for Pick 5 are broadcast every Monday through Saturday during the 10 p.m. news on Channel 15 (ABC) in Phoenix and Channel 13 (CBS) in Tucson.

Players can check their numbers by logging onto www.ArizonaLottery.com or by calling the winning numbers hotlines at 480-829-PICK in Phoenix and 1-800-499-3798 in all other Arizona areas. Players can also opt-in to receive winning number text alerts by texting "AZLOT" to 411247.
