Lysaker, 21 September 2010 Nord Pool ASA announced in exchange and clearing information no 30/10, that new Contracts for Differences (CfDs) related to the new price areas in Sweden will be listed. This is a result of Svenska Kraftnät's decision to subdivide the Swedish transmission system into four price areas by 1 November 2011. Additionally, a new CfD contract in Norway will be launched to accommodate the members' request. The definitions for the new CfD contracts will be as follows: Area price Luleå: The electric power price quoted by Nord Pool Spot for the area including Svartbyn 400 kV, Sweden Area price Sundvall: The electric power price quoted by Nord Pool Spot for the area including Hjälta 400 kV, Sweden. Area price Malmö: The electric power price quoted by Nord Pool Spot for the area including Sege 400 kV, Sweden. Area price Tromsø: The electric power price quoted by Nord Pool Spot for the area including Hungeren 132kV, Norway. There will be no changes to the existing Stockholm CfD contracts which will remain valid and effective even with the new establishment of Swedish price area 3. Nord Pool ASA will in the near future announce the launch date for the new contracts in the new Swedish price areas 1, 2 and 4.
