Dick Marconi to Receive Shining Star Award at I Padrini's 'An Evening Under the Stars' Event

Orange County Philanthropist is Honored for Helping Children


ADVISORY, Sept. 29, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) --

WHAT: Prominent Orange County philanthropist Dick Marconi will receive the
  Shining Star Award at I Padrini d'Antonello's 'An Evening Under the Stars'
  event, taking place at 5 p.m. on Sunday, October 3rd at Antonello
  Ristorante. I Padrini presents the award annually to honor philanthropic
  efforts in the community. Proceeds of the event itself will benefit Canyon
  Acres Children and Family Services and Speech and Language
  Development Center and other needy children sponsored by I Padrini
  d'Antonello.
   
WHO:  Marconi was one of the world's largest manufacturers of vitamins, food
  supplements and weight-loss products. He is also founder of the Marconi
  Automotive Museum, home to a multi-million-dollar car collection that
  Marconi donated himself. Proceeds from museum ticket sales and in-
  house events support the Marconi Foundation for Kids, which aims to
  raise at least one million dollars per year to help at-risk youth.
   
  I Padrini d'Antonello is a group of businessmen who privately support
  children's causes.
