| WHAT: | Prominent Orange County philanthropist Dick Marconi will receive the | |
| Shining Star Award at I Padrini d'Antonello's 'An Evening Under the Stars' | ||
| event, taking place at 5 p.m. on Sunday, October 3rd at Antonello | ||
| Ristorante. I Padrini presents the award annually to honor philanthropic | ||
| efforts in the community. Proceeds of the event itself will benefit Canyon | ||
| Acres Children and Family Services and Speech and Language | ||
| Development Center and other needy children sponsored by I Padrini | ||
| d'Antonello. | ||
| WHO: | Marconi was one of the world's largest manufacturers of vitamins, food | |
| supplements and weight-loss products. He is also founder of the Marconi | ||
| Automotive Museum, home to a multi-million-dollar car collection that | ||
| Marconi donated himself. Proceeds from museum ticket sales and in- | ||
| house events support the Marconi Foundation for Kids, which aims to | ||
| raise at least one million dollars per year to help at-risk youth. | ||
