Pursuant to Section 21 para. 1 of the German Securities Trading Act (WpHG),
WestLB AG, Duesseldorf, Germany, informed us on September 30, 2010 as
follows:

According to Section 21 para. 1 of the German Securities Trading Act  we
inform you that on September 24, 2010 the voting share of WestLB AG,
Duesseldorf, Germany, in Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG, Kurfuersten-Anlage
52,60, 69115 Heidelberg, Germany (ISIN DE0007314007), exceeded the
3-percent threshold and amounted to 4.99 percent on this date - or
11,646,515 of a total of 233,330,302 voting rights.

This obligatory announcement under Section 21 para. 1 of the German
Securities Trading Act (WpHG) is due to the role of the WestLB AG as a
Co-lead manager in line with the capital increase of Heidelberger
Druckmaschinen AG entered into the Commercial Register on September 24,
2010.

Additionally, we inform you according to Section 21 para. 1 of the German
Securities Trading Act that on September 29, 2010 the voting share of
WestLB AG, Duesseldorf, Germany, in Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG,
Kurfuersten-Anlage 52-60, 69115 Heidelberg, Germany (ISIN DE0007314007),
fell below the 3-percent threshold and now amounts to a voting share of 0
percent - or 0 of a total of 233,330,302 voting rights.
