In his 13-year career as an economic, real estate, and site-selection research professional, Marker has established himself as one of the Chicago Metropolitan Area's foremost experts of the commercial real estate market. He has served as an advisor to numerous corporate, non-profit and government clients in their asset and location decision-making processes.
In his new role, Marker is responsible for enhancing the research capabilities of CoStar Group and Property and Portfolio Research (PPR), a CoStar company, as well as expanding the potential services available to the company's clients in the Chicago region.

Prior to joining CoStar, Marker served as national director of research for Grubb & Ellis, where he oversaw the strategic direction of all market research functions, services and work products.
Additionally, Marker has served as director of research for World Business Chicago, an award-winning regional economic development organization. During his eight-year tenure with World Business Chicago, Marker was involved in attracting and retaining numerous companies, including Boeing, BP Petrochemicals, Motorola, Orbitz, Sara Lee, Skil Bosch and YMCA.
Marker received his bachelor's degree in Urban Studies and Regional Planning from the University of California in San Diego, Ca. and his master's degree in Urban Planning from Columbia University in New York, N.Y.
