ePlus Technology Passes Cisco Quadruple Audit, Gains Four Re-Certifications

HERNDON, Va., Oct. 14, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- ePlus inc. (Nasdaq:PLUS) today announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, ePlus Technology, inc., has successfully completed a quadruple Cisco audit and received four re-certifications: Gold Partner, Master Unified Communications Specialization, Master Security Specialization, and Managed Services Master Certification.

The results of the audit illustrate ePlus' ability to meet rigorous standards for networking competency, service, support, and customer satisfaction set forth by Cisco. In addition, ePlus continues to be recognized as a distinguished Cisco Channel Partner with the highest level of unified communications and security expertise, lifecycle services, and success in sales as well as expertise in developing and delivering managed services.

"We are delighted with this significant achievement. The results affirm our leading best practices across multiple Cisco advanced technologies and solutions," said Jerry McIntosh, vice president of advanced technology solutions for ePlus Technology. "We have demonstrated the set of skills and capabilities to enable our customers to realize the strategic advantages from integrated and adaptive security solutions as well as improved collaboration and productivity enhancements from unified communications. As a result, our customers can continue to expect excellence in Cisco solution sales, delivery, and managed services."

"ePlus' investment in the Cisco Managed Services Master Certification ranks it among an elite group of channel partners with the resources to deploy, manage, and support services for multiple technologies," said Edison Peres, senior vice president of the worldwide channels go-to-market group at Cisco.

To achieve the Master Unified Communications Specialization, resale channel partners must first attain the Advanced Unified Communications Specialization. Partners must then meet stringent requirements that demonstrate their master-level sales, technical, and services capabilities. Furthermore, master specialized partners must possess a number of Cisco and industry-standard technical certification requirements, provide customer references that document Cisco-prescribed design and deployment capabilities, and show evidence that they have the infrastructure to support a full menu of Lifecycle Services offerings and capabilities.

The Cisco Master Security Specialization is designed to recognize an elite group of resale channel partners who have invested in the most in-depth technology skills and have demonstrated success in providing services for Cisco's robust security solutions. These include Cisco Security Agent, Cisco Security Monitoring, Analysis, and Response System (Cisco Security MARS), Network Admission Control, and Cisco IOS® Software.

As a Cisco Managed Services Master Certified Partner, ePlus demonstrated the ability to deliver sophisticated solutions, met stringent requirements that reflect a depth of capabilities, and offered at least two managed services using the resources and procedures necessary to deploy, manage, and support Cisco solutions.

As a Cisco Gold Certified Partner, ePlus has met the requirements for attaining the broadest range of expertise across multiple technologies by achieving the four following Cisco advanced specializations: Unified Communications, Routing and Switching, Security, and Wireless LAN. In addition, ePlus has integrated Cisco Lifecycle Services into its offerings and is required to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

The Cisco Resale Channel Program provides partners with the training required to build sales, technical and Cisco Lifecycle Services skills, and then validates their skills through a third-party audit. Cisco resale partner certifications—Gold, Silver, Premier and Select—represent an increasing breadth of skills across key technologies and a partner's ability to deliver integrated networking solutions. Cisco resale partner specializations—Master, Advanced and Express—reflect an increasing depth of sales, technical and service expertise in particular technologies.

ePlus is a Cisco Gold Certified Partner and has achieved Cisco Master Specializations in Security and Unified Communications as well as the Cisco Managed Services Master Certification. In addition, ePlus holds Cisco Specializations in Advanced Routing and Switching, Advanced Data Center Storage Networking, Advanced Data Center Networking Infrastructure, Advanced Wireless LAN, and Cisco Authorized Unified Meetingplace Partner as well as Cisco Authorized Technology Provider (ATP) designations in Cisco TelePresence, Video Surveillance, and Data Center Unified Computing.
