Dorchester Minerals, L.P. Announces Its Third Quarter Distribution

DALLAS, TX--(Marketwire - October 14, 2010) -  Dorchester Minerals, L.P. (NASDAQ: DMLP) announced today the Partnership's third quarter 2010 cash distribution. The distribution of $0.471081 per common unit represents activity for the three-month period ended September 30, 2010 and is payable on November 4, 2010 to common unitholders of record as of October 25, 2010.

Cash receipts attributable to the Partnership's Net Profits Interests in pay status during the third quarter totaled approximately $2.6 million. These receipts reflect oil and gas sales from the properties underlying the Net Profits Interests generally during May through July 2010. Approximately $0.9 million of gross capital expenditures, primarily attributable to drilling and completion activity, was re-invested by the owner of the working interests in the properties underlying all the Net Profits Interests during June through August 2010.

Cash receipts attributable to the Partnership's Royalty Properties during the third quarter totaled approximately $10.7 million. These receipts generally reflect oil sales during June through August 2010 and gas sales during May through July 2010. The Partnership received approximately $2.8 million of other cash receipts during the third quarter including bonus payments totaling $2.6 million for leases located in the Granite Wash Trend in Wheeler County, Texas.

Ninety-eight new wells were identified on the Partnership's Net Profits Interests and Royalty Properties located in 34 counties and parishes in eight states during the third quarter.
