Release of a notification of Voting Rights pursuant to section 26 para. 1
WpHG

October 2010


 
Companies of the Greenlight Group informed us according to section 21,
paragraph 1 of the German Securities Trading Act (WpHG) that as of October
11, 2010 they have fallen below the threshold of 3 % of the voting rights
in LANXESS AG, Leverkusen, and hold 2.90 % of the voting rights. This
corresponds to 2,413,413 voting rights. The details result from the
following information:

a)
David Einhorn, New York, USA, informed us according to section 21 para. 1
WpHG that as of October 11, 2010 he has fallen below the threshold of 3 %
of the voting rights in LANXESS AG, Leverkusen, and holds, on the date of
falling below such threshold, 2.90 % of the voting rights. This corresponds
to 2,413,413 voting rights. 1.03 % of such voting rights (corresponds to
858,549 voting rights) are deemed to be the voting rights of David Einhorn
pursuant to section 22 para. 1, first sentence, no. 1 WpHG. 1.76 % of such
voting rights (corresponds to 1,461,323 voting rights) are deemed to be
voting rights of David Einhorn at the same time pursuant to section 22
para. 1, first sentence, no. 6, sentence 2 WpHG and pursuant to section 22
para. 2, first sentence WpHG. 0.11 % of such voting rights (corresponds to
93,541 voting rights) are deemed to be voting rights of David Einhorn at
the same time pursuant to section 22 para. 1, first sentence, no. 1 WpHG,
pursuant to section 22 para. 1, sentence 1, no. 6, sentence 2 WpHG and
pursuant to section 22 para. 2, first sentence WpHG.

b)
DME Advisors GP, LLC, New York, USA, informed us according to section 21
para. 1 WpHG that as of October 11, 2010 it has fallen below the threshold
of 3 % of the voting rights in LANXESS AG, Leverkusen, and that it holds,
on the date of falling below such threshold, 2.90 % of the voting rights.
This corresponds to 2,413,413 voting rights. 0.48 % of such voting rights
(corresponds to 402,756 voting rights) are deemed to be the voting rights
of the above mentioned company pursuant to section 22 para. 1, first
sentence, no. 6, sentence 2 WpHG. 0.11 % of such voting rights (corresponds
to 93,541 voting rights) are deemed to be voting rights of the above
mentioned company at the same time pursuant to section 22 para. 1, first
sentence, no. 6, sentence 2 WpHG and pursuant to section 22 para. 2, first
sentence WpHG. 2.30 % of such voting rights (corresponds to 1,917,116
voting rights) are deemed to be voting rights of the above mentioned
company pursuant to section 22 para. 2, first sentence WpHG.

c)
Greenlight Capital, Inc., New York, USA, informed us according to section
21 para. 1 WpHG that as of October 11, 2010 it has fallen below the
threshold of 3 % of the voting rights in LANXESS AG, Leverkusen, and that
it holds, on the date of falling below such threshold, 2.90 % of the voting
rights. This corresponds to 2,413,413 voting rights. 1.27 % of such voting
rights (this corresponds to 1,058,567 voting rights) are deemed to be the
voting rights of the above mentioned company pursuant to section 22 para.
1, first sentence, no. 6 WpHG and 1.63 % of such voting rights (corresponds
to 1,354,846 voting rights) are deemed to be the voting rights of the above
mentioned company pursuant to section 22 para. 2, first sentence WpHG.

d)
Greenlight Capital, LLC, New York, USA, informed us according to section 21
para. 1 WpHG that as of October 11, 2010 it has fallen below the threshold
of 3 % of the voting rights in LANXESS AG, Leverkusen and that it holds, on
the date of falling below such threshold, 2.90 % of the voting rights. This
corresponds to 2,413,413 voting rights. 1.03 % of such voting rights (this
corresponds to 858,549 voting rights) are deemed to be the voting rights of
the above mentioned company pursuant to section 22 para. 1, first sentence,
no. 1 WpHG. 1.87 % of such voting rights (corresponds to 1,554,864 voting
rights) are deemed to be the voting rights of the above mentioned company
pursuant to section 22 para 2, first sentence WpHG.

e)
DME Management GP, LLC, New York, USA, informed us according to section 21
para 1 WpHG that as of October 11, 2010 it has fallen below the threshold
of 3 % of the voting rights in LANXESS AG, Leverkusen, and that it holds,
on the date of falling below such threshold, 2.90 % of the voting rights.
This corresponds to 2,413,413 voting rights. 0.11 % of such voting rights
(corresponds to 93,541 voting rights) are deemed to be the voting rights of
the above mentioned company pursuant to section 22 para. 1, first sentence,
no. 1 WpHG. 2.79 % of such voting rights (corresponds to 2,319,872 voting
rights) are deemed to be the voting rights of the above mentioned company
pursuant to section 22 para. 2, first sentence WpHG.

f)
DME Capital Management LP, New York, USA, informed us according to section
21 para 1 WpHG that as of October 11, 2010 it has fallen below the
threshold of 3 % of the voting rights in LANXESS AG, Leverkusen, and that
it holds, on the date of falling below such threshold, 2.90 % of the voting
rights. This corresponds to 2,413,413 voting rights. 0.06 % of such voting
rights (corresponds to 49,968 voting rights) are deemed to be the voting
rights of the above mentioned company pursuant to section 22 para. 1, first
sentence, no. 6 WpHG. 0.11 % of such voting rights (corresponds to 93,541
voting rights) are deemed to be voting rights of the above mentioned
company at the same time pursuant to section 22 para. 1, first sentence, no
6 WpHG and pursuant to section 22 para. 2, first sentence WpHG. 2,73 % of
such voting rights (corresponds to 2,269,904 voting rights) are deemed to
be voting rights of the above mentioned company pursuant to section 22
para. 2, first sentence WpHG.

g)
DME Advisors LP, New York, USA, informed us according to section 21 para 1
WpHG that as of October 11, 2010 it has fallen below the threshold of 3 %
of the voting rights in LANXESS AG, Leverkusen, and that it holds, on the
date of falling below such threshold, 2.90 % of the voting rights. This
corresponds to 2,413,413 voting rights. 0.42 % of such voting rights
(corresponds to 352,788 voting rights) are deemed to be the voting rights
of the above mentioned company pursuant to sections 22 para. 1, first
sentence, no. 6 WpHG and 2.48 % (corresponds to 2,060,625 voting rights) of
such voting rights are deemed to be voting rights of the above mentioned
company pursuant to section 22 para. 2, first sentence WpHG.


h)

para. 1 WpHG that as of October 11, 2010 it has fallen below the threshold
of 3 % of the voting rights in LANXESS AG, Leverkusen, and that it holds,
on the date of falling below such threshold, 2.90 % of the voting rights.
This corresponds to 2,413,413 voting rights. 2.77 % of such voting rights
(this corresponds to 2,304,179 voting rights) are deemed to be the voting
rights of the above mentioned company pursuant to section 22 para. 2, first
sentence WpHG.

section 21 para. 1 WpHG that as of October 11, 2010 it has fallen below the
threshold of 3 % of the voting rights in LANXESS AG, Leverkusen, and that
it holds, on the date of falling below such threshold, 2.90 % of the voting
rights. This corresponds to 2,413,413 voting rights. 2.00 % of such voting
rights (this corresponds to 1,664,098 voting rights) are deemed to be the
voting rights of the above mentioned company pursuant to section 22 para.
2, first sentence WpHG.

threshold of 3 % of the voting rights in LANXESS AG, Leverkusen, and that

rights. This corresponds to 2,413,413 voting rights. 2.79 % of such voting
rights (this corresponds to 2,319,872 voting rights) are deemed to be the
voting rights of the above mentioned company pursuant to section 22 para.
