DigitalTown Scores a Touchdown on Its First Weekend

MINNEAPOLIS, MN--(Marketwire - October 22, 2010) -  DigitalTown, Inc. (OTCBB: DGTW) went through its first weekend of publishing scores and rankings of the nation's high school football teams and the numbers are in.

There were 13,664 teams that played 6,832 games. In our nationwide system of spirit sites we published results of 6,808 games with 5 games being canceled and 19 not reported. This computes to a very successful completion rate of 99.72%. The 6,808 games generated more than 89,000 page/score views over a 3-day period starting Monday the 18th.

The national number one ranking of large schools was Coppell High School in Texas ( with Wayzata High School football team ( coming in at number one in Minnesota. Scores and rankings of all schools can be found by searching your school under

The high school basketball season is coming with 18,000 teams. DigitalTown will be launching the nation's largest hyper-local advertising system under multiple formats. This will reach down to the local town level for advertisers for the first time across all school districts in the U.S. on the internet.

The ad system will be DigitalTown's main revenue driver for 2011. Features will be announced in separate releases to accommodate the high school winter sports.
