Mechel Announces Establishing Its Representative Office in Ukraine


MOSCOW, Nov. 23, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Mechel OAO (NYSE:MTL), one of the leading Russian mining and metals companies, announces establishing its official representative office in Kiev, Ukraine.

The representative office of the company will contribute to the development of Mechel's business in Ukraine, including supports of its export activities and contacts with state authorities, conducting market research, arranging meetings with business community and searching new business partners. The new office will also participate in commercial, industrial, scientific and technological cooperation and provide informational support of the Group's activities in Ukraine.
