Covisint, a Compuware Company, Extends Submittal Window for Physician Quality Reporting Initiative (PQRI) Revenue Incentives to Mid-March

Due to High Demand, Covisint Will Continue to Support Physicians by Accepting and Processing PQRI Submittals through March 15, 2011

DETROIT, Feb. 4, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Covisint, a Compuware (Nasdaq:CPWR) company, today announced that -- due to a high degree of customer demand and success -- it will extend its deadline for processing submittals to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) for the 2010 Physician Quality Reporting Initiative (PQRI). Leveraging Covisint DocSite™ PQRI, physicians and practice managers can now submit 2010 PQRI data through March 15, 2011.

Covisint is one of a few remaining services still available for submittals, and Covisint DocSite PQRI continues to make reporting on PQRI and receiving incentives from CMS easy for doctors and hospitals. CMS offers revenue incentives for delivering excellent care through participation in this voluntary quality reporting program.

"In 2009, payments to our customers were quite significant," said Brett Furst, Vice President of Healthcare Solutions for Covisint. "For one of our customers, payments topped $450,000."

In 2010, PQRI participation is at its most lucrative, paying two percent of Medicare fees and an extra two percent bonus if providers use ePrescribing technology -- a registration and payment system that Covisint also facilitates. The Covisint DocSite PQRI service can be accessed by calling 919-256-9500 or by visiting http://www.covisint.com/web/guest/healthcare/docsitepqri.

Covisint DocSite PQRI was the highest volume clinical submission registry for PQRI in 2009 with more than 4,500 successful submissions. Additionally, Covisint has been a successful submitter of PQRI data on behalf of eligible professionals since 2008. For 2010, Covisint DocSite PQRI -- a CMS-certified registry for reporting PQRI data -- is on track to help more than 10,000 providers obtain CMS incentive funds. Covisint has already processed 2010 submittals at a rate of 300 percent over those submitted in 2009.
