OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Feb. 10, 2011) - The Honourable Tony Clement, Minister of Industry, with Dr. Suzanne Fortier, President of the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), will announce the recipients of six NSERC prizes at a morning news conference. The prizes recognize the very best in natural sciences and engineering research in Canada, including NSERC's most prestigious award—the Gerhard Herzberg Canada Gold Medal for Science and Engineering.
Media are also invited to an evening ceremony where all the prizes will be presented. Recipients of NSERC's Synergy Awards for Innovation, who were announced in late 2010, will also be recognized at the ceremony.
