IRVING, Texas, Feb. 16, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Natural Gas Partners ("NGP"), one of the leading private equity investors in the oil and gas industry, today announced that John H. Homier has joined the firm as a Venture Partner.
Mr. Homier has over 30 years of corporate finance, engineering, credit analysis, business development and management experience in the energy sector, serving for over six years as President and Chief Executive Officer of NGP Capital Resources Company, a publicly traded business development company ("NGPC: Nasdaq"). Prior to his involvement with NGPC, Mr. Homier founded and led a successful structured/mezzanine oil and gas investment programs for Deutsche Bank. Mr. Homier has also held various management positions with Bank of America Securities and its predecessors, with responsibilities that included the initiation and building of a successful structured capital program for investment in oil and gas projects within the bank.
Mr. Homier graduated with a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Oklahoma State University in 1973, a M.S. in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley in 1977 and earned an M.B.A. in Finance and Management from the University of Southern California in 1981. Mr. Homier is a Professional Petroleum Engineer and a CFA Charterholder.
