Finnair's Annual Report 2010 has been published

Finnair's Annual Report consists of two parts: the magazine-like Logbook, also familiar from flights, and the Financial Report. The Logbook again provides fascinating insights into the airline world. This year, the customer is particularly to the fore.

The Logbook's articles this year address, among other things, the various ways by which customers are approached in Asia: What are the sales assets and what kind of complications arise from cultural differences? Readers are also invited to take a ride with the Quality Hunters, who blogged their travel quality experiences as they toured the world for two months.

The Responsibility section ponders the commercial significance of responsibility as well as the ins and outs of calculating emissions. Finnair's Flight Safety Pilot Janne Lumia writes on flight safety. Bright ideas in the field of recycling design are also highlighted. Work for the good of the world's children is discussed via UNICEF and the Association of Friends of the University Children’s Hospitals.

The Logbook takes a bicycle ride to Hong Kong and, with a modern slant, visits the past via a Japanese inn. A flight into space is guided by guest writer Maunu von Lueders. Other guest writers are University of Helsinki Researcher Simo Kyllönen, who explores the roots of corporate responsibility, and Trainers’ House CEO Vesa Honkanen, who analyses the demands of modern working life.

Naturally, the Logbook also has in-depth coverage of Finnair's vision and the renewal of the company's visual and service identity from the perspective of both customers and personnel. Responsible investment, on the other hand, is considered from the investor's perspective: Can return on invested capital be expressed in terms of a better world, in addition to financial added value?
