Vilnius, Lithuania, 2011-03-28 11:21 CEST (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The facts presented in the article of the Lietuvos Rytas Daily of 26 March 2011 “The CEO‘s Chair is Shaky” by journalist Marius Jokubaitis are at odds with reality and mislead the public.
AB Lietuvos Dujos dissociates itself from the information presented in the aforesaid article and informs the public that neither the members of its Board of Directors representing E.ON Ruhrgas AG and OAO Gazprom, nor the management of the company are the source of information of the aforesaid article.
At its meeting of 24 March 2011, the Board of Directors of AB Lietuvos Dujos discussed the request laid down in the Ministry of Energy‘s letter of 8 February 2011 to recall Viktoras Valentukevicius, General Manager of the Company, from his position. Dr. Peter Frankenberg and Uwe Fip representing E.ON Ruhrgas AG and Dr. Valery Golubev and Kirill Seleznev representing OAO Gazprom voted against the proposal. Romas Svedas, representative of the Ministry of Energy, withdrew from voting.
The Board of Directors of AB Lietuvos Dujos is comprised of 5 members: E.ON Ruhrgas AG and OAO Gazprom are represented in the Board of Directors by 2 members each, and the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Lithuania is represented by one member of the Board of Directors.
