German American Expands Trust Team in Evansville


JASPER, Ind., April 8, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- German American Bancorp, Inc. (Nasdaq:GABC) announces that Dave Mitchell, Alvin Basham, Donna Sholtis, Janet Esser, Patti Evans, and Brandy Garrett have joined German American's Trust Team serving the wealth management needs of individuals and businesses in the metropolitan Evansville market.

Dave Mitchell, Senior Vice President, Trust Officer, has over 25 years of Trust experience and holds degrees in Finance, Economics, and Management from the University of Southern Indiana.

Alvin Basham, Vice President, Trust Officer, holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern Indiana. He has completed courses of study with Canon Financial Institute and is a member of the Evansville Estate & Financial Planning Council.  He is a Certified Financial Planner.

Donna Sholtis, Vice President, Trust Officer, has over 20 years of experience in financial services and wealth management. She has served as CEO of a $40 million dollar financial services company and holds her Series 7, 65, and insurance licenses.

Janet Esser, Vice President, Trust Officer, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Ohio State University and has completed post graduate and graduate studies in business administration at Drake University. She is a graduate of Cannon Corporate Trust School and has attained the Certified Corporate Trust Specialist designation from the Institute of Certified Bankers.

Patti Evans, Vice President, Trust Officer, earned a Banking Degree from Wabash Valley College and the American Bankers Association. She is a graduate of Cannon Trust School. She has extensive experience in farm management trusts.

Brandy Garrett, Trust Administrative Assistant, is a graduate of Oakland City University and has over 10 years of experience in Trust support services.
