TStudy enters the education market in China with products from Anoto

Lund, April 21, 2011 – Anoto’s partner TStudy has entered the Chinese market by signing a tree-year contract for distribution of its interactive applications Symphony, TNote and DOTnote. The applications are based on Anoto digital pen technology and will be used for classroom teaching and distance education in the People’s Republic of China.

-Having secured a foothold in our home market, South Korea, TStudy is now aggressively expanding to other markets. Asia is a largely untapped market for Anoto where we see vast opportunities for the use of Anoto technology, says Andrew Hur, SVP TStudy.

-This is a breakthrough for Anoto’s products in China, and I am very pleased that there is such an interest in China for TStudy’s applications, where Anoto’s products are an integrated part, says Torgny Hellström, CEO Anoto. The value for Anoto is difficult to assess, since the structure may vary over time and it is not yet determined if and what pens Anoto shall deliver. However, revenue to Anoto is likely to amount to at least 2 MUSD in royalties and components over the next three years, Hellström continues.
