Tree Top Launches "America's Best Firehouse BBQ Cook-Off"

Firehouses From Around the U.S. Invited to Compete for $10,000 by Entering Best BBQ Recipe Using Tree Top Products


SELAH, WA--(Marketwire - Apr 27, 2011) - Firehouses of America, it's time to turn up the heat and get cookin' for a chance to win $10,000 in America's Best Firehouse BBQ Cook-Off presented by Tree Top.

Tree Top, the only major brand of apple juice made from 100 percent USA apples, is inviting firehouses from around the nation to enter their most delicious, mouth-watering BBQ recipes using its products. By entering, firehouses will get a chance to win a $10,000 grand prize for their firehouse or to share with their favorite charity. The contest launches April 27 and runs through May 22.

To enter America's Best Firehouse BBQ Cook-Off, firehouses must simply log onto www.AmericasBestFirehouseBBQ.com and:

  • Submit their best BBQ recipe using Tree Top apple juice or apple sauce;
  • Tell us a bit about their firehouse;
  • Why their recipe's the best; and
  • Their plans for the grand prize.

The top 10 finalists will be sent a Tree Top-branded Flip video camera and a gift package complete with a variety of Tree Top juice, apple sauce and fun BBQ accessories to compete in the final round. Finalists will record up to a four minute video in which they will try to convince America and the judges that their firehouse -- and recipe -- are the best and most deserving of the $10,000 prize. The judging panel consists of Tree Top CEO Tom Stokes, Audra Lowe from BetterTV and BBQ Addicts, authors of BBQ Makes Everything Better. Beginning June 23 through July 29, America will be invited to vote online for their favorite!
