WINNIPEG, MANITOBA--(Marketwire - April 29, 2011) - Starting tonight, over a thousand youth have registered for the YC Manitoba 2011 weekend. Students from around the province are anxious to Hear the Sound and attend the life changing youth conference.

YC Manitoba is much more than awesome music and activities – it is about youth challenged to live their lives for the purposes of God from April 29 – May 1, 2011, at Church of the Rock, Winnipeg, Manitoba.

"Our theme this year is "Hear the Sound" and our goal is to hear what God is saying to this generation and to see this generation mobilized for His purposes," says Mike Love, executive director of Extreme Dream Ministries. "The worship, the concerts, and the speakers are all part of three amazing days. Our aim is to properly present Jesus Christ to the world through cutting edge music, relevant communication and the passion of our life message," says Love.

Since its inception in 1994, the YC phenomenon has swept across the nation, and has grown from 500 students in a small gymnasium, to sell-out crowds of over 16,000 delegates in Alberta, Canada. More than 250,000 students have been impacted by the conference that is spreading across the globe.

"We want to see more lives impacted through YC Manitoba, YC Alberta, YC Belize, YC Slovakia, YC Quebec, YC Newfoundland, and Global Youth Missions," says Love. "More importantly, this weekend is about setting aside our denominational differences as we become one in Christ."

YC Manitoba 2011 will feature motivational speakers Duffy Robbins (US), and Matt Tapley (CA) plus musical guests Unhindered (US), Bluetree (UK).

YC attendee and youth leader, Trisha says, "Our students attended last year and some have had life changing experiences as a result. Two became believers and were baptized this past year. Many spoke of how it impacted them to go deeper with God."
