Universal Bioenergy Stock Climbs 22.45% on Report of Award of New Contract


IRVINE, Calif., May 6, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Universal Bioenergy Inc. (Pink Sheets:UBRG). Shares of Universal Bioenergy climbed 22.45% on Thursday May 5, 2011 after it released news that its subsidiary NDR Energy Group was awarded a contract to supply natural gas to one of the nation's largest gas distribution companies.

The shares reached as high as the $0.096 mark and later settled to $0.09 at the close of the trading day, for a gain of 22.45% over the previous trading day. The stock was trading at an unusually high volume Thursday as investors quickly snapped up the shares with a total of 7,619,346 shares changing hands. The volume was 5.70 times the average daily trading volume of 1,335,490 shares.
