ORBIT Appoints Thomas Lipari as Director of Sales and Business Development in North America for Its Satellite Communications Business


NETANYA, Israel, June 7, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- ORBIT Communication Systems, Ltd., a subsidiary of Orbit Technologies Ltd. (TASE:ORBI), a Satellite Communications, Tracking & Telemetry, and Communications Management Systems provider, today announced the recruitment of Thomas Lipari.

Tom brings in-depth knowledge of the maritime and offshore VSAT market, as well as rich experience in sales, marketing and business development in the telecommunications industry. Over the past ten years, Tom held the position of Director of Sales at two major VSAT providers serving the offshore oil and gas industry - PetroCom LLC (today Broadpoint) and Caprock Communications Inc. Prior to that, Tom served as Director of Sales for BellSouth and Regional Director National Accounts for Sprint PCS in the cellular wireless market.

In addition to his professional experience, Tom served six years in the United States Marine Corp as a Battalion Telecommunications Chief and Instructor in radio communications. Tom attended East Carolina University and completed his Executive Education at the Jones Graduate School of Management, Rice University.

Tom will play a key role in growing ORBIT's VSAT business in the important North American market. He will also serve as a key resource in the provision of maritime VSAT communications solutions and support for Orbit's local customers.
