us pursuant to sec. 21 para. 1 Securities Trading Act (WpHG) of the
following:

The percentage of the voting rights of Lyxor Asset Management S.A. in RWE
AG exceeded the threshold of 3 % on 16 May 2011 and amounts to 3.20%
(16,738,273 voting shares) on that day. All voting rights are indirectly
attributable to Lyxor Asset Management S.A. persuant to sec. 22 para. 1
sent. 1 no. 6 WpHG.

2. On 1 June 2011 Lyxor Asset Management S.A., Paris, France, has informed
us pursuant to sec. 21 para. 1 Securities Trading Act (WpHG) of the
following:

The percentage of the voting rights of Lyxor Asset Management S.A. in RWE
AG exceeded the threshold of 3 % on 16 May 2011 and amounts to 3.20%
(16,738,273 voting shares) on that day. All voting rights are indirectly
attributable to Lyxor Asset Management S.A. persuant to sec. 22 para. 1
