Egenera Opens New Worldwide Headquarters to Accommodate Business Growth

Software Company Relocates to Tech Central @ Boxborough Campus in Suburban Boston

BOXBOROUGH, MA--(Marketwire - Jun 13, 2011) - Egenera, the only provider of open converged infrastructure software for data center management, has relocated its worldwide headquarters to Boxborough, Massachusetts in the suburban Boston technology corridor, one of the nation's most concentrated technology centers. The company signed a five-year lease for approximately 26,000 square feet of first-class office space at 80 Central Street on the campus of Tech Central @ Boxborough. The facility met the company's growing needs for a larger data center, expanded research & development lab, and additional office space for new employees. Egenera's flagship product, Egenera® PAN Manager® Software, makes data centers more agile and reliable while reducing capital expenditures and operating costs.

Tech Central @ Boxborough was developed to meet the specific needs of high technology companies. Egenera's new global headquarters features a state-of-the-art laboratory for R&D teams, an executive briefing center showcasing the company's hardware and software solutions, and a bright, contemporary workspace that can accommodate Egenera's plans to hire technical and sales professionals in 2011. These new resources and fresh environment will help Egenera continue to innovate and redefine the enterprise data center.

"Egenera's new corporate offices mark another milestone for the company in a year that has already seen its share of accomplishments. We posted strong financial results during the first three months of 2011; our fifth consecutive quarter of profitability, increased revenue, customer growth and partner expansion. We also anticipate a strong second quarter," said Pete Manca, president and CEO of Egenera. "More recently, Egenera partnered with HP, the global blade server leader with 55 percent market share, to launch Egenera® PAN Manager® Software on HP BladeSystem. This significantly expands our opportunities. It signals the growing importance of converged infrastructure. And, most importantly, it delivers a strong and clear endorsement of the benefits that Egenera PAN Manager Software delivers to customers and partners."

Egenera was founded in Massachusetts in 2000 and pioneered the blade server and converged infrastructure markets. PAN Manager Software now has 11 years of proven performance in production environments and is deployed in more than 1,600 data centers across the globe. In 2009, Egenera made the Egenera PAN Manager converged infrastructure solution available on select independent hardware partner platforms. Partnerships with Dell and Fujitsu soon followed. Egenera entered into a technology and marketing partnership with HP in April 2011.
