(Pink Sheets:HDUP) operators of the Canadian Poker Tour, Canadian Poker Player Magazine and the Canadian Poker Player Television Network is pleased to announce that gross revenues from its poker tourism and international sports and entertainment divisions exceeded $517,000 USD in the first quarter of this year. This is primarily due to a series of major events including the Reign in the Ring boxing Pay per View and fight at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas and the Poker Super Cruise held aboard Royal Caribbean's Freedom of the Seas in March and April. This result exceeds the company's total revenues for all of 2010 and exemplifies the growing success of the business model that management has implemented by focusing on larger high profile events in international jurisdictions.
Management believes that emerging opportunities that have arisen in the international tournament poker sector and a re-launch of a new television production model to meet the demand of shows like Poker after Dark and The Big Game that have been cancelled due to indictments against the online poker companies that produce them will be a major factor in increasing shareholder value.
The recently announced partnership with the World Poker Showdown has substantially contributed to the Company's growth and a number of additional announcements are forthcoming to outline additional deals in the international poker marketplace.
