Syntel Named One of North America's Top 50 Technology Integrators

TROY, Mich., June 29, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Syntel, Inc., a global information technology services and Knowledge Process Outsourcing (KPO) firm, announced it has again been named to the VAR500. In its 17th edition, the VAR500 is the definitive listing of the leading technology integrators and solution providers in North America, as determined by the amount of products and services sold over the course of 2010.

This year, Syntel jumped more than 70 spots to rank #46 on the 2011 edition, as compared to #117 last year. This rise through the rankings was driven by a 27% increase in Syntel's revenues over the past fiscal year.

"We are extremely fortunate to have experienced such tremendous growth over the past year," said Prashant Ranade, CEO and President of Syntel. "It's a real honor to be listed among the top 50 technology providers in North America, and this ranking validates our strategy of continuing to invest heavily in our employees, infrastructure and innovative new service offerings throughout the economic downturn."

The VAR500 list was published in print and online at CRN.com on June 20, 2011.
