Anna Andreeva hired as SVP, Senior Research Analyst

Eric Tracy named Managing Director and Group Head, Consumer Research

Dutch Fox named VP, Research Analyst

ARLINGTON, Va., Aug. 9, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- FBR & Co. (Nasdaq:FBRC) ("FBR" or the "Company"), a leading investment bank serving the middle market, announced today several enhancements to its consumer franchise.

Ms. Anna Andreeva has joined the firm as Senior Vice President, Senior Research Analyst in the Consumer Equity Research group. Ms. Andreeva will focus on Specialty Retail. Most recently, Ms. Andreeva has spent the last six years covering the retail sector at J.P. Morgan. She joins a team of over 30 senior analysts within FBR's Equity Research department. At FBR, Ms. Andreeva will focus on Specialty Retail. 

The Company also announced two promotions. Eric Tracy has been named Managing Director and Group Head of the Consumer Research Group. Mr. Tracy has over 15 years of capital markets experience including nine years as a consumer research analyst. Dutch Fox has been promoted to Vice President, Research Analyst. Mr. Fox has been at FBR for the past five years, most recently as Assistant Vice President. Mr. Fox will continue to expand the Consumer franchise with coverage in the retail sector.

Anna Andreeva has been a nationally recognized and highly sought after analyst in the specialty retail sector since she joined J.P. Morgan in 2005. While there she has covered 13 companies, primarily focused on the teen and children's markets and has been a member of the #1 ranked Institutional Investor Specialty Retail team for three years. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, Ms. Andreeva covered small and mid-cap retailers as a Equity Research Analyst at Fulcrum Global Partners LLC and as a Fixed Income Analyst in Diverse Manufacturing and Retail at Creditsights, Inc. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Charleston and an MBA from New York University Leonard N. Sterns School of Business.
