Swisher Hygiene Announces Appointment of Thomas LaMartina as Senior Vice President - Operations


CHARLOTTE, N.C., Aug. 15, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Swisher Hygiene Inc. ("Swisher Hygiene") (Nasdaq:SWSH) (TSX: SWI), a leading provider of essential hygiene and sanitation products and services, today announced the appointment of Thomas LaMartina as its new Senior Vice President – Operations. He will be responsible for overseeing Swisher Hygiene's national footprint and specifically its new regional operating structure.

Mr. LaMartina has nearly 30 years of experience in manufacturing and service operations. He joins Swisher Hygiene after ten years at ABM Industries, most recently as Senior Vice President for their Southeastern Region Engineering and Facilities Division, where he was responsible for the company's Southeastern operations. Prior to ABM, Mr. LaMartina served six years at Schindler Elevator as Regional Vice President for the Northeast. He has also held positions at Case Corporation and Illinois Tool Works. Throughout his career, Mr. LaMartina has consistently increased the annual revenue and profitability of his operations, and has consistently outperformed planned targets. Mr. LaMartina received a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts in Industrial Relations and Marketing from Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri.
