Agreement Between Technopolis and OP-Pohjola Group Extended
Pohjola Insurance Ltd, part of the OP-Pohjola Group will lease 1,372 m2 of office premises at Technopolis Oulu from January 2012. The agreement is in effect for at least five years. Pohjola Insurance’s non-life insurance functions will operate at the premises.
“With the agreement signed with Pohjola Insurance, our customer base in Oulu will be more versatile through a service sector operator that has a strong perspective for growth and is committed to our region,” says Juha Juntunen, Director of Technopolis Oulu.
“The labor market in Oulu has been a positive surprise for us, and it is easy to predict that our operations will expand in Oulu. It is wonderful that we can concentrate OP-Pohjola’s functions under one roof, while being able to expand in the future,” says Pauli Sarelius, Director of Pohjola Insurance.
Recently, Technopolis signed a significant agreement with OP Services Ltd, also part of the OP-Pohjola Group, on a development unit for the OP-Pohjola Group’s mobile services and electronic sales, as well as an ICT competence center. Through the new agreement, both of OP-Pohjola Group's companies will be located in the same property in 3,485 m2 of office premises on Elektroniikkatie.
