ASD continues to grow as the industry leader in solving real-world materials analysis challenges. ASD develops rugged, portable spectrometer solutions that can be used in the field or the lab. More than 20 years ago, ASD’s founders introduced the concept of applying near-infrared technology (NIR) to remote sensing and ground truthing research. Since then, ASD has expanded into the industrial sector including mining. These powerful, full-range instruments rapidly and accurately collect high-quality data without disturbing the sample.

ASD instruments, used across the world and trusted by top researchers, are essential research tools in a wide variety of applications including mining exploration and production, materials inspection and analysis, and the study of the environment through remote sensing.

"Beyond our evolving instrumentation solutions, we continue to develop our capabilities to provide our customers with a full range of services and expert support," said ASD CEO Dave Rzasa. "Our growth and success is further powered by developing new applications for our products. We are honored to be named to the 2011 Inc. 500|5000 list and are confident ASD will continue this success in the future."
