About Hope, Help and Rebuild Haiti:

Hope, Help and Rebuild Haiti (HHRH) is the next evolution of the work that was started by Donna Karan and her Urban Zen Foundation immediately after the January 2010 earthquake with music executive Andre Harrell, the Mary J. Blige and Steve Stoute Foundation for the Advancement of Women Now, and André Balazs and the Standard as an initiative of Urban Zen aimed at galvanizing a community in response to Haiti's immediate need to rebuild. HHRH's mission is to create a conscious community of leaders in music, fashion, film, finance and art to become agents of change for the renewal of Haiti. About Partners in Health:

Partners In Health (PIH) is an organization dedicated to providing comprehensive health care to disadvantaged populations in twelve countries around the world, including MDR-TB care in Haiti, Peru, Russia, Kazakhstan, Rwanda, Malawi and Lesotho. More info at www.pih.org

The PIH vision: whatever it takes. At its root, our mission is both medical and moral. It is based on solidarity, rather than charity alone. When a person in Peru, or Siberia, or rural Haiti falls ill, PIH uses all of the means at our disposal to make them well—from pressuring drug manufacturers, to lobbying policy makers, to providing medical care and social services. Whatever it takes. Just as we would do if a member of our own family—or we ourselves—were ill.
