All Things Digital to Host First "D: Dive Into Media" Conference in January

SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 22, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- All Things Digital (http://allthingsd.com) today announced plans to host its first D: Dive Into Media conference, which will convene top media industry leaders and influencers on January 30-31, 2012, at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Dana Point, Calif.

D: Dive Into Media will be produced by Peter Kafka, media and technology columnist for AllThingsD.com, along with Walt Mossberg and Kara Swisher, co-founders and co-executive producers of D: All Things Digital. Building upon the mission of the D conference, D: Dive Into Media will spend two days exploring the revolutionary changes underway in the media industry, featuring one-on-one interviews with the most powerful and innovative heavyweights, and a focus on the change-makers – new voices and new technologies that are challenging media empires and changing how the world consumes and uses media day to day.

In typical D-style, the format includes no panel discussions – only thorough, engaging discussions with some of the world's most relevant media executives tasked with figuring out how to incorporate and respond to an ever-changing landscape.

The program includes Philippe Dauman, President and Chief Executive Officer, Viacom; David Remnick, Editor of The New Yorker magazine; Edgar Bronfman, Jr., Chairman of Warner Music Group; and Chase Carey, President, COO, and Deputy Chairman of News Corporation. Additional speakers and program highlights will be announced in the coming weeks.

D: Dive Into Media is the latest extension of The Wall Street Journal's All Things Digital franchise, which includes AllThingsD.com, the original D conference – now in its 10th year – and the upcoming AsiaD conference taking place October 19-21 in Hong Kong.

Registration for D: Dive Into Media is available on AllThingsD.com (http://allthingsd.com/conferences/dive-into-media/register/). Additional conference information, full coverage and video of past conferences can be found online at http://allthingsd.com/d/.
